System identification of FES-controlled joint

I am an Associate Professor in Mechatronics at the Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway. I also hold an Honorary position at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Queensland, Australia, where I was based until Oct/2023. Before that, I was a tenured assistant professor (professor adjunto, in Portuguese) at the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Brasilia, Brazil.
My research interests involve the application of methods from robotics, control, and signal processing to rehabilitation and assistance of people with disability. With that purpose, I am involved in different research projects in which there is close collaboration with clinicians and end-users.
