Ana Carolina’s PhD defense took place today in Brasilia. Her work superbly integrates mechatronics and biomedical engineering. It involved complex technical contributions, challenging implementations, and experimental studies involving participants with disabilities. Parabéns!

It was the first time that I, as the main supervisor, could not be present in a PhD defense. I hope I’ll be able to congratulate you in person soon, Ana! Thanks for Prof. Francisco Assis for replacing me as the Jury’s president and for all other academics in the Jury.
